Your Best Side is the Inside | Austin Boudoir Photo Experience

This gorgeous gal came to me to capture some sexy images for her husband, to celebrate their 1st year of marriage. Mrs. K had me laughing from the get go with her humor and sarcasm. At one point in the session we talked about favorite features and she said she and her husband are “butt people.” The way she said it made me crack up. Needless to say, we captured some beautiful images to show off her back side, however all of her sides are fantastic, including the inside. And take a look at her mesmerizing blue eyes, people. And Baby Makes 3 | We are Adding to our Tribe

I suppose it’s time for a very personal post. As I write this, I am 21 weeks along in my first pregnancy. WOW!

Real life just got so real. In November, we found out we are having a baby, and we now know that baby J is a baby BOY! Somehow, even more than 5 months in, and 2 weeks into having an actual bump… it still just somehow doesn’t seem like real life. I guess some things are just too much for a person’s brain to handle. I am going to be a Mom! I am going to have a son. My husband is now going to be a Father. I suppose that being pregnant and birthing a child, and forever being someone’s Mama is just something that truly changes everything in a way that nothing else has before.

I have found myself wondering about who this person will be so many times. What will he look like? Who will he become? What will he love, be interested in, be good at, be passionate about? What will his personality be like and who will he one day fall in love with? I pray for health, for blessings, for a child who I can raise to know and love his Savior. I pray for my husband and I to be good parents, by loving each other well, by following the Lord, and by being a team. I don’t think I’ve ever been so overwhelmed with emotions in my entire life.

My dear friend Julie of Julie Wilhite Photography came to our home to take a few images of Nick and I together to announce that we are expecting our baby boy in July, and I just love the images she captured of us. Here are a quick few to share our joy.

One thing you might be wondering is… what does this change for you? Nothing! Other than a little time off once baby arrives, business will go on as usual. I may just have an adorable little studio assistant now.

Bridal Boudoir | Austin Boudoir Studio

The beautiful, just married, Miss “M” gave us 5 out of 5 stars! And I give you just a few of my favorite images from her sexy, bridal boudoir session. This gorgeous gal got married in Italy a few short months ago in a super private ceremony with just herself and her handsome groom… (swoon) and she wanted to knock his socks off for their first Valentines Day as a married couple. I’d say the bar is set pretty high from here on out. But she ended up blowing herself away with these gorgeous images.

“M” cracked me up when she said, “I realized during this process that I really love leather and lace! Has anyone ever worn as much leather and lace as me?!” Well… up until her session, no one else had worn that much leather and lace together, but I’m so glad that she set that standard because her wardrobe was on point and I loved it! ALL OF IT! And her pink wedding stilettos made a special appearance. H-O-T-T!

The reveal was fun going through all of the photos and I greatly appreciated her expertise in helping me pick out my photos for my book. She is a pro! I am always so incredibly honored anytime I book a session with a new client, or a repeat client. Literally, every single time, every day, it never gets old. However, when someone tells me they are coming in from out of town or out of state, I just get giddy. What an honor that people would take an entire day or weekend to come visit me in Austin and have me capture their portraits, when I know they have options closer to them. It’s like I can’t believe it, every time.

This beautiful boudoir client came to see me from Houston, and she was such a rock star. She knew exactly what she wanted, and was more than ready to give the session her all and get gorgeous images for her upcoming wedding, as a gift to her fiancé. What I think she did NOT realize, was the effect that the session experience and resulting images would have on HER.

I always tell people that this experience is powerful, but those words don’t become real until you actually feel it for yourself. And Miss T felt it! Here is what she had to say about her session with me…

“You absolutely must book with Kimberly Brooke Boudoir. I had known for a while that I really wanted to do a shoot for my fiancé for his wedding gift and started looking for photographers about a year ago. I came across Kimberly Brooke Boudoir and absolutely fell in love with her images. Upon booking, the nerves of being shot in lingerie (and even possibly nude) started to set in.”

“I was very nervous at the beginning of our shoot but Kim was seriously SUCH a delight. She made me laugh, gave amazing direction and ultimately made me feel incredibly sexy and comfortable. When we did the reveal I was so impressed by not only her photography skills, the attention to detail, how professional and artistic they were but ultimately, how beautiful and sexy I felt I looked. Hearing these words for the first time, also bought me to tears! Then later, this woman also shared even more details about her experience. And this my dear friends, is what it’s all about. It’s why I do this thing. These words, this truth, these realizations. Read on…

… “today as I reflect on all of the AMAZING women I’ve met, know & wish I knew, I realized just how fucking proud we should be of ourselves as women, clothes or no clothes. Being a woman is hard. The physical expectations put on us by society, & ourselves, can be debilitating. I’ve struggled with my body image as long as I can remember (which terrifies me to think about how much harder it is for girls growing up today) but after getting these pictures back I was in TEARS. But these were tears of gratitude for my body, for looking at myself and thinking HOLY SHIT I LOOK AMAZING. I can honestly say these were the first time I looked at myself NAKED & was proud to be the owner of that body. So my message is this : YOU ARE A WOMAN & THAT MAKES YOU FUCKING FABULOUS IN EVERY DAMN WAY. So happy International Womens Day to all you beautiful women. We rock. And there you have it. Sometimes you need to see yourself through the eyes of someone else for the fog to be lifted. To see clearly that you are beautiful just as you are and can be SO EFFING PROUD to be who you are, in YOUR body, in YOUR life. THIS is my why.

The experience will be different for every single woman, but that is because every single one of us is unique, and has our own story. And I love that. I love it so much that I cry my own tears of gratitude when I hear the hearts of my clients and how their experience with me changed a part of their life or their self-perspective, and that I somehow get to be a part of this. It’s powerful stuff y’all.
